We’ve just completed a small but eye opening study into graduate happiness. The single most jaw dropping finding was the comparison between those who scored their career least happy and those who scored their career as most happy. What is this finding you ask? That people who enjoy their work as a vet are four times more likely to have a plan for the next steps in their career. FOUR TIMES!
And judging by what those plans were, it seems to matter less what the plan was. Rather, it only mattered that there was a coherent plan.
This supports the findings in the PERMA model of human happiness that places emphasis on accomplishment and goal setting.
